Disney Riviera Resort set to open in 2019, will be the fifteenth DVC resort property in the collection is currently under construction and about to become a reality. Construction of the all-new Disney Riviera Resort is apparently on track and as of now, the property is scheduled to open its doors sometime in the fall of 2019. Disney Riviera Resort will be located near Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios and settled adjacent to Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. There are approximately 300 deluxe units of various sizes planned at this 8-story property.   To top it off, a stunning rooftop restaurant will offer guests fantastic views of evening Epcot and Hollywood Studios fireworks and laser light displays.

Adding to all this excitement, Disney has created a colorful gondola-style transportation system, called the Disney Skyliner scheduled to debut in coordination with the Disney Riviera Resort opening. This innovative skyway system offers sweeping bird’s eye views as it connects guests at Disney Riviera Resort, Caribbean Beach Resort, Pop Century Resort and Disney’s Art of Animation Resort with two theme parks stops the International Gateway at Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

For guests who would rather stay earthbound, Disney has also recently initiated a new “Minnie Van” private transportation service to whisk guests all around Walt Disney World.  Use the LYFT app on your smartphone to hail one of the whimsical red and white polka dot Minnie Mouse-styled vans to conveniently sweep you off to dining reservations, shopping at Disney Springs or trips to theme parks and other fun Disney Orlando locations.  For an extra level of security and comfort, all “Minnie Van” drivers are knowledgeable Disney Cast Members.
