Disney Riviera Resort recently announced that the general public will be able to make reservations to stay at Disney’s newest DVC property starting today for check-in dates starting in DECEMBER 2019.  Sadly, Disney Vacation Club members have to wait just a little a while longer to make vacation reservations at this property using their membership points as cash reservations will start first.  DVC members will, however, have exclusive access to non-public resort inventory when Disney gives the final “OK” to open Disney Rivera Resort to all DVC type reservations.

Imagine Christmas in a brand new European Riviera resort as only Disney can create here!  The folks at Disney have been busy trying to finish up construction of the newest deluxe-classed  Disney Vacation Club property in Florida, Disney Riviera Resort.  Disney Riviera Resort will be the 15^th DVC resort in the collection and is anticipated to open toward the end of this year.  We have not seen any renderings of the planned resort interior, DVC villa décor, finishing touches or other architectural details.  Décor is rumored to be reflective of a grand European style.  There is a scenic rooftop restaurant in the works that will offer guests fantastic views of magical evening Epcot and Hollywood Studios fireworks displays. Obviously, more details about this brand new resort will be forthcoming over the next several months.

Disney Riviera Resort is located along Barefoot Bay near Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios and settled adjacent to Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort.  The design of the property reflects the admiration of the beauty of Europe’s Mediterranean coast. Many years ago, Walt Disney, his brother Roy and their wives Lillian and Edna took an extended European holiday.  Walt and the destiny of the Disney brand were forever changed by what he saw and experienced in the colorful European countryside and Mediterranean coastal villages.  The fairytale castles, cobblestone streets, historical towns, sparkling coastline, regional classic cuisine and grand art and architecture of Europe inspired Walt’s future creativity and contributed greatly to the unique enchantment of all things Disney.

As an added bonus, the all-new Disney Skyliner is scheduled to debut in coordination with the Disney Riviera Resort opening.  There will be a Skyliner station located at Disney Riviera Resort for added park transportation convenience.  This innovative skyway system will provide riders with a sweeping bird’s eye view while connecting Disney Riviera Resort, Caribbean Beach Resort, Pop Century Resort and Disney’s Art of Animation Resort with two theme parks stops the International Gateway at Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
