The galactic opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to Open at Disneyland on May 31st! Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the all-new 14-acre attraction at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California is now set to partially open a little earlier than previously rumored. Here’s what we were able to find out so far about this much-anticipated addition to the Disneyland theme park.
Everything about Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge has been designed to resemble a rebel outpost on the Planet Batun. This unique land is set on Black Spire Outpost in a faraway spot on the Outer Rim of the galaxy. This old waystation is apparently where the Resistance is camped out. When entering this fascinating land, you basically become part of this exciting universe!
Two of the main attractions will include an interactive experience called Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run where riders will be instructed by Chewbacca and Hondo Ohnaka on how to complete their flight assignment. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will be an 11-minute motion-based ride featuring animatronics of General Hux and Kylo Ren in addition to plenty of out-of-this-world action along the way.
You’ll not go hungry once inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Head to Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo for delicious counter service food. Olga’s Cantina will serve up refreshing and fun drinks like the Jedi Mind Trick, T-16 Skyhopper or non-alcoholic drinks like Black Spire Brew or Blue Bantha. Ronto’s Roasters will serve roasted meats, Kat Saka’s Kettle will be the place to order “Outpost Mix” popcorn and The Milk Stand is the place to find unusual blue and green milk-based drinks.
You’ll want to snag a few souvenir items to remember your awesome visit. Create and construct a droid to take home at The Droid Depo. Savi’s Workshop is where you’ll design and build your own personal lightsaber. Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities will be selling Star Wars holocrons, Jedi and Sith items. Other stores are slated to include First Order Cargo, The Jewels of Birth, Toydarian Toymaker, Creature Stall and Black Spire Outfitters.
