The Walt Disney Company is apparently in the planning stages of constructing a new DVC tower resort next to the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim. The building is anticipated to be a 12-story project with DVC ownership units. Currently proposed drawings for the new Disney Vacation Club property will boast 350 guest rooms, 271 large deluxe studios, 28 two-person studios, 20 two-bedroom suites, and 19 one-bedroom suites, and 2 Grand Villas. Potentially, this new resort has an opening date of the year 2023. Rumors state the rooms will have very similar layouts to those recently designed and built for Disney’s Riviera Resort in Orlando, Florida. This is very exciting news for the owners of DVC as getting rooms at the Grand Californian using only points can be extremely hard unless it is your home resort with an 11-month booking window. The project is projected to open in 2023.
