Disney Riviera Resort recently announced that the general public will be able to make reservations to stay at Disney\u2019s newest DVC property starting today for check-in dates starting in DECEMBER 2019.\u00a0 Sadly, Disney Vacation Club members have to wait just a little a while longer to make vacation reservations at this property using their membership points as cash reservations will start first.\u00a0 DVC members will, however, have exclusive access to non-public resort inventory when Disney gives the final \u201cOK\u201d to open Disney Rivera Resort to all DVC type reservations.<\/p>\n

Imagine Christmas in a brand new European Riviera resort as only Disney can create here!\u00a0 The folks at Disney have been busy trying to finish up construction of the newest deluxe-classed \u00a0Disney Vacation Club property in Florida, Disney Riviera Resort.\u00a0 Disney Riviera Resort will be the 15th<\/sup> DVC resort in the collection and is anticipated to open toward the end of this year.\u00a0 We have not seen any renderings of the planned resort interior, DVC villa d\u00e9cor, finishing touches or other architectural details.\u00a0 D\u00e9cor is rumored to be reflective of a grand European style. \u00a0There is a scenic rooftop restaurant in the works that will offer guests fantastic views of magical evening Epcot and Hollywood Studios fireworks displays. Obviously, more details about this brand new resort will be forthcoming over the next several months.<\/p>\n

Disney Riviera Resort is located along Barefoot Bay near Epcot and Disney\u2019s Hollywood Studios and settled adjacent to Disney\u2019s Caribbean Beach Resort. \u00a0The design of the property reflects the admiration of the beauty of Europe\u2019s Mediterranean coast. Many years ago, Walt Disney, his brother Roy and their wives Lillian and Edna took an extended European holiday.\u00a0 Walt and the destiny of the Disney brand were forever changed by what he saw and experienced in the colorful European countryside and Mediterranean coastal villages.\u00a0 The fairytale castles, cobblestone streets, historical towns, sparkling coastline, regional classic cuisine and grand art and architecture of Europe inspired Walt\u2019s future creativity and contributed greatly to the unique enchantment of all things Disney.<\/p>\n

As an added bonus, the all-new Disney Skyliner is scheduled to debut in coordination with the Disney Riviera Resort opening.\u00a0 There will be a Skyliner station located at Disney Riviera Resort for added park transportation convenience.\u00a0 This innovative skyway system will provide riders with a sweeping bird\u2019s eye view while connecting Disney Riviera Resort, Caribbean Beach Resort, Pop Century Resort and Disney\u2019s Art of Animation Resort with two theme parks stops the International Gateway at Epcot and Disney\u2019s Hollywood Studios.<\/p>\n
